Position Overview

Plans, designs, and coordinates the integration of machinery, equipment, and processes into the manufacturing process of industrial establishment by performing the following duties.

Essential Job Functions

  • Trains and communicates quality objectives and quality policy to the workforce.
  • Works on continuous improvement projects.
  • Provides leadership and direction to the Production Team.
  • Co-ordinates production activities with Production staff to insure manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Performs administrative activities associated with the effective management of a production environment.
  • Enforces accurate labor reporting leading to the accuracy of inventory.
  • Direct involvement with all staffing activities, including hiring, employee training, employee development, and compliance with company policy and regulations.
  • Conveys and promotes quality policy and quality objectives among the production workforce.
  • Establishes, conveys and promotes the adherence to developed operational and budgetary goals.
  • Provides input and guidance for new product development, new technology implementation, and overall improvement strategies.
  • Oversees all shifts of operation to monitor and improve operational efficiencies, and reduce overtime.
  • Enforce QMS procedures and W.I.’s among the production workforce.
  • Takes accountability of the effectiveness of QMS within the production group.
  • Establishes and maintains a working environment that follows IATF requirements.
  • Owner of continuous improvement process in compliance with QMS.
  • Responsible for product conformity & implementation of corrective actions for quality problems.
  • Monitors and reviews manufacturing process audit.
  • Improves production efficiency, reduces scrap, and improves on-time delivery of the products.
  • Implements safety procedures, organizes workplace tools like 5S, and performs kaizen events.
  • Conduct daily GEMBA meetings with teams to communicate daily performance, discuss close calls and remind employees of proper procedures.
  • Review daily production schedules and create team plans accordingly.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-training and capacity training in order to enhance capacity and responsiveness to customer requirements.
  • Ensure short throughput time and optimize the production team based on fluctuating production demands.
  • Reviews and analyzes the production, quality, maintenance and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications, and operating or production problems
  • Manage and direct team and work with HR to address employee issues as they arise.
  • Manage disciplinary and progress reviews process.
  • Enforce and monitor all company policies.
  • Ensures health and safety guidelines set by the company.
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
