Position Overview
Create process for new product and lead the APQP activities.
Essential Job Functions
- Ability to read, understand and digest standards and specifications.
- Ability to learn new skill and create work Instructions for operators and setup men.
- Ability to use CAD to create process sketches.
- Ability to design tooling and fixtures as required and improve upon existing design as needed.
- Ability to approve tooling or cutter design from supplier.
- Ability to review and correct process details as needed.
- Ability to lead a new project as the project lead by following the APQP guidelines and be pro-active in all manner related to the project.
- Ability to use various Microsoft Software (or other software) to perform the proper tasks.
- Ability to support shop floor personnel in trouble-shooting process and/or quality problems associated with part manufacture in general.
- Ability to continually review and optimize existing manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and quality.
- Ability to properly select the right tooling and fixture for the process.
- Ability to train employees as needed.
- Ability to organize his/her own daily activities with minimal supervision.
- Ability to actively support the development and manufacturing of prototype for customer.
- Ability to treat Quality as being the #1 important item.
- Ability to multitask as needed.
- Ability to communicate to managers, colleagues, setup men and operators in an effective and harmonious manner.
- Ability to communicate actively with supplier and work harmoniously.
- Ability to take on other duties as may be assigned.
Education – Bachelor’s degree (B. A. or B.S) from four-year College or University preferably in a technical area or equivalent experience;
Experience/Training – 3-5 years related experience or training.
Computer Skills – Design Software and Microsoft Office Suite
