Position Overview
Perform and manage processes associated with measurement standards and engineering.
Essential Job Functions
- Must be able to conduct sophisticated analyses, develop new measurement systems and test methods, and to manage administrative functions.
- Responsible for planning and supporting the calibration, repair, and testing of measuring and test equipment.
- Responsibilities also include developing calibration procedures and systems used by calibration technicians and ensuring compliance with calibration procedures.
- Must be able to perform calibrations and perform quality engineering functions up to and including accreditation.
- May be required to provide training to technicians in use of standards and equipment, provide guidance in troubleshooting of such equipment, and perform cost and scheduling activities.
- Delivers all required gages to Operators during set-ups of each process.
- Sets air gages, roll checkers, etc. at the cell for production.
- Monitors and maintains out of calibration report from “Gage pack” software on a weekly basis.
- Assigns storage location and calibrates new gages.
- Reads and interprets Process Drawings.
- Performs GR & R studies.
- Maintains records of equipment calibration.
- Responsible for conformity to product and shall stop production to correct quality problems.
- Other duties may be assigned.

Education – bachelor’s degree (B. A. or B.S) from four-year College or University preferably in a technical area or equivalent experience.
Experience/Training – 4 years related experience or training.
