**Position Overview

We are looking for a career-minded person to become our Safety and Training Coordinator. You will work with and be trained by a Safety/Training professional and other members of our staff in order to obtain the knowledge and skillset needed for success. Under general direction of the Operations Manager, the Safety and Training Coordinator plans, evaluates, reviews, and conducts a wide variety of training and safety planning and implementation for the Shop Floor. Functions as lead facilitator to demonstrate safe work practices, and help train and evaluate operators. Performs related duties as assigned.

**Essential Job Functions:

  • Plan, manage and direct occupational safety and onboard basic operator training for the organization.
  • Coordinate with employees and all management to ensure that all potential hazards and issues are identified and that appropriate preventive measures are put into place
  • Conduct and direct inspections, audits and operator evaluations and retraining.
  • Update necessary matrix for both Training and Safety.

**Qualification Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, any Quality Control experience a plus.
  • Any Safety / Training experience desired but not required.
  • Bilingual a plus
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites
  • Must be able to lift 25lbs

Education– Minimum HS diploma or GED required, 2yr. degree or some college preferred.

Experience/Training– Minimum 2yrs. experience in a manufacturing environment
