BUHRKE EXPANDS, ADDS EQUIPMENT
Buhrke Industries LLC, an IMS (Innovative Manufacturing Solutions) Company, has
completed an expansion to its main manufacturing facility in Arlington Heights, IL
(Chicago), adding floor space and metal stamping equipment. According to the company,
a major supplier of precision metal stamping and assemblies to the automotive and
appliance industries, these operational improvements will increase both production
capacity and service performance.
Recently added to the Chicago plant were 20,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing area, as
well as 10,000 sq. ft. of tool room area. In addition, 40,000 sq. ft. have been
occupied at Global Gear and Machining, another IMS facility in nearby Downers Grove,
IL. Plans for an additional 40,000 sq. ft. are under review. The following pieces
of equipment were installed:
One 600-ton and one 400-ton Minster press
One 400-ton and one 300-ton Bliss press
Two 150-ton Minster press
An OPG QUEST 600 multi-sensor vision system
The company also currently operates a manufacturing facility in Monclova, Mexico
and has additional plans for future plant additions to service its growing customer
base worldwide.
